67 950 hours in aid to children: 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! summarized it’s results

Charitable initiative 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! initiated by A1 and the National Olympic Committee of the Republic of Belarus is finished. Participants managed to prematurely achieve their common goal of 50 000 hours of sports activities while the final scoring shows 67 950 hours. As a result of the campaign A1 has provided financial support at the amount of BYN 50 000 to the National Clinical Children’s Centre for Palliative Medical Care.

The said charitable initiative united over 15 thousand Belarusians including sportsmen of the current National Olympic team, i.e. Champion of the European Swimming Championship 2019 Anastasia Shkurdai, World Track Cycling Champion 2020 Evgeny Korolek, Silver medalist of the European Speed Walking Cup 2019 Dmitry Dyubin and European Champion 2018 in marathon running Olga Mazureno nominated as ambassadors of 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! The campaign has been supported by other famous sportsmen like Vitaly Parahonko, Kristina Timanovskaya, Elvira German, Daria Borisevich and Paralympic Champion Lyudmila Volchek as well as football clubs BATE and A1 Junior, Belarusian Swimming Federation, National Olympic Stadium Dynamo and many others.

 

“We genuinely thank all participants and organizers of the initiative 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! Our team appreciates that many citizens of our country have responded to the appeal for assistance, for attention to our centre and our patients. We are happy that people help our children through participation in the activity at the same time taking care of their own health”, - commented Lyudmila Bomberova, director of the National Clinical Children’s Centre for Palliative Medical Care.

 

Based on terms and conditions of 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! anyone could register on the online page of the project and track own progress in all four disciplines: running, swimming, walking or cycling. Every participant had a personal goal of 100 hours of exercising over 50 days while joint efforts of all participants targeted 50 thousand hours. This goal has been achieved prematurely: the project scoring showed the desired result on the 38th day. However, throughout the remaining period of time all participants could improve their personal achievements and fight for the best result in the overall ranking and in every four major disciplines. At that, the activity has generated 67 950 hours of sports activities.

 

Official sports ranking of the charitable activity 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! listed 1 427 registered participants while total number of those who have taken part in the campaign reached 15 000 people. During 50 days of the activity between 23 June and 11 August 2020 there were sports events in all major disciplines organized: Day of Speed Walking, Swimming Weekend, Cycling Aid to Children Challenge and Running Week. These days registered results of the participants in the specific discipline have been doubled or tripled.

 

The absolute champion of the charitable activity 100 Hours Together with A1: Support TEAM BY! who has gained the biggest number of hours is Vladimir Gubich from Vetka of Gomel oblast. He demonstrated a cumulative result of 1 671 hours while success strategy embraced not only active participation in sports events but also bonus hours for attraction of new participants.
