About Company

A1 continues to cement its leader status in terms of high-quality mobile Internet connection. A1 scored the best result in the Data Transfer category, as per the 2024 rating of mobile service networks made by BelGIE public enterprise.

Based on the data from the хваля.бел website, the A1 mobile telecom network has shown the following performance parameters:

  • the lowest ratio of failed calls to the total number of calls;
  • the highest average score for voice transfer quality;
  • the lowest ratio of failed data transfer attempts to the total number of data transfer attempts;
  • the lowest ratio of sessions with IP packet transfer delays;
  • the lowest IP packet loss rate;
  • the highest average data transfer rate;
  • the lowest ratio of failed video playback attempts;
  • the highest average score for video playback quality;
  • the shortest average web page load time.

These data are based on a number of telecom quality assessment checks as of 15.01.2025 and may vary from quarter to quarter.

And on top of that, A1 is continuing to optimize its LTE mobile network. By launching 1,800MHz and 2,600MHz frequency bands, А1 has greatly improved its LTE throughput and coverage all over Belarus, from regional and district centers to agrotowns and villages.

This improvement is yet another major technical upgrade over the recent months. This time, А1 elevated the quality of its mobile services across more than 20 districts in Belarus. The positive changes will be mostly experienced by A1 customers living in Brest, Gomel, Grodno, Mogilev, and Minsk Regions.

Enhanced 4G network performance and over a hundred new stations will ensure a more stable high-speed LTE mobile Internet connection, as well as a higher quality of voice calls thanks to the new-generation VoLTE technology for numerous A1 customers across Belarus.

4G (LTE) is currently the most advanced mobile service standard in Belarus. As a result of combined efforts by А1 and the infrastructure operator beСloud, A1 has the biggest number of 4G base stations (over 6,000) operating on the 800MHz, 1,800MHz, and 2,600MHz bands. The fourth-generation A1 mobile technology is now available to 99.8% of Belarusian residents. 4G is now available not only to A1 customers in big cities, but also to those living in low-populated settlements and villages, as well as along traffic routes.

To start using 4G and enjoy all the benefits of high-quality connection, you need to:

  • enable 4G (LTE) in your phone settings. Switching to the new communication standard is absolutely free. In the 4G mode, your smartphone will be choosing 4G as its priority network. However, when needed, it may automatically switch back to 3G;
  • enable VoLTE in your smartphone settings to ensure higher quality of voice calls;
  • if your SIM card doesn't support LTE, you should opt for USIM or eSIM instead. You can do all this for free in any А1 store;
  • if your smartphone doesn't support LTE, you should opt for a newer model which supports 4G/LTE.

To check if your smartphone and SIM card are compatible with 4G, enter the USSD code *181# and press the Dial key.
