A1 took part in a project to arrange access to watching the best Belarusian feature films in the trains of the Belarusian Railway
The VOKA online cinema together with the Belarusian Railway, the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and Belarusfilm have expanded the collection of movies that are available for passengers of the Belarusian Railway to watch right on trains. Now they have access to several iconic pictures of the Belarusian cinema to watch on the road for free and with no need to use mobile Internet.
There are already 20 movies available for watching on the trains of the Belarusian Railway, selected by VOKA together with Belarusfilm specially for the media server, which provides an opportunity to watch movies while traveling: the adaptation of Vladimir Korotkevich's novel "King Stakh's Wild Hunt", the 1980s iconic comedy "White Dew", the war drama "In August of 1944", the documentary "Marc Chagall. Unreal Reality", the children's musical "The Adventures of Pinocchio", and more.
The media server works on trains of interregional business-class lines connecting Minsk and regional centers of Belarus. To use the new service, you need to connect to the train's WiFi in the Internet browser on your smartphone, tablet or laptop, follow the link media.rw.by and choose the content of your preference.
Thanks to the technical solution of the service, based on the VOKA platform, passengers have continuous access to watching without pauses and freezes, as all movies are uploaded to media servers on trains and do not depend on the availability of Internet access. In total, over a thousand pieces of content of different genres — from famous movies and TV series to music videos — have been uploaded to the platform. Furthermore, the content of the media server is regularly updated and added with new movies, so that every passenger can find entertainment to their liking.
The detailed connection instructions are located on the backrests of the passenger seats.
