A1 will hold the Belarusian Dota 2 eSports Championship

Registration for participation in the Belarusian Dota 2 eSports Championship has begun in Belarus, the event is hosted by the A1 Unitary Enterprise with the support of the Belarusian Association of Computer Sports. The prize fund of the tournament, which will be shared by the four winning teams, will amount to 20,000 Belarusian rubles, which is a record prize for the country.

 

Qualification matches will begin on November 11, and a second regional round is planned to start on December 9. The qualification games will be hosted by computer clubs from all regions of the country that are registered members of the Association. Players from almost anywhere in the country have the opportunity to participate in the tournament.

 

The first two rounds of the championship will be held in the cities the clubs are located in, after which the 16 best teams will be selected to participate in the LAN finals: 12 regional teams and 4 Minsk-based teams. The finals will take place on December 16 and 17 in Minsk. It gives participants an opportunity to play on professional equipment, and spectators will get to watch all the events of the tournament in person and support e-sportsmen.

 

The prize fund for the upcoming championship is the largest for Belarus and amounts to 20,000 Belarusian rubles. The prize will be divided among four winning teams: the first place winners will get 10,000 BYN, team coming in second will receive 5,000 BYN, and teams ranked third and fourth will get 2,500 BYN each. Furthermore, the winners will receive a perpetual Champions Cup and the title of Belarusian Dota 2 champions!

 

Teams with a minimum headcount of five people are allowed to participate. At least three players in the team have to be registered in the same region and must be 16 years of age or older. The team fee for participation in the qualification games is 100 BYN.

 

Everyone interested will be able to follow the events not only live, but online as well: broadcasts will be streamed on the VOKA video service, the Twitch streaming service and in the Belarusian Association of Computer Sports community on VK website.
