А1 established Green Nomination at the largest Belarusian contest of social projects Social Weekend

Contest of social projects Social Weekend opened it’s 16th season within the framework of which A1 established a new Green Nomination for support of ecologic initiatives. Applications are accepted till 28 February.

A1 Green nomination is created specifically for appreciation and facilitation in implementation of environmental projects. Since 2020 A1 officially approved it’s ecopolicy for the next five years, i.e. principles and obligations in environmental protection and ecological safety that are applied to all aspects of company operations.

“We are happy to observe development of Social Weekend and extension of topics related to social projects. We want to support all participants enthusiastic in fostering attitude of care towards nature since eco-friendly life style is one of the A1 green priority directions in CSR policy. A1 Green Nomination is our choice of creative ideas and future planning”, - noted Nikolai Bredelev, head of A1 PR.

Among A1 Green initiatives already in progress feature reduction of car fleet, optimization of separate collection of waste at company offices and stores, migration to internal and external docflow in e-format. Till 2025 A1 is planning to develop three major focus areas: energy efficiency, reduction of carbon dioxide emission and reduction of waste footprint.

Over a few years A1 has been supporting the largest in Belarus contest of social projects the winners of which may find patrons or businesses eager to fund practical realization of their ideas. Earlier the company distinguished and supported the project related to reconstruction of Minsk embankment Kupalski Berag and Metamorphoses of the City dedicated to the 100th anniversary of creative association UNOVIS. Thanks to A1 support there has been an educational app for children with autism developed based on a unique methodology, i.e. ABA coach and street food street appeared in Molodechno.

A1 Green Nomination grants participants of the 16th season of Social Weekend additional chance for support in realization of projects drawing people’s attention to the environmental protection.
