A1 Improves 4G Network in More Than 150 Settlements

About Company

Dedicated to continuously upgrading its LTE network and rolling out new capacities, A1 has launched 251 new base stations. As a result, 153 settlements across Belarus saw a significant improvement in 4G network coverage and throughput.

Network quality was enhanced not only in bigger cities, but also in villages, agro towns, small towns, and other settlements. On top of that, improved 4G network is now available to sports fans of the new National Football Stadium and passengers of Kovalskaya Sloboda and Nemorshanskiy Sad metro stations. Based on mobile network quality tests along Zelenoluzhskaya metro line performed by BelGIE state enterprise in the early and late February 2025, A1 got the highest integral score, leaving other providers behind.

Another factor in improved quality of voice calls and data transfer is the use of the RAN Sharing technology. Another stage of the RAN Sharing project was completed in early March. This allowed to elevate mobile network quality in remote settlements and areas with complex landscapes.

4G (LTE) is currently the most advanced mobile service standard in Belarus. As a result of combined efforts by А1 and beСloud, an infrastructure operator, 99% of people living in Belarus now have access to the fourth-generation mobile technology. 4G is now available to A1 customers living not only in big cities, but also in low-populated settlements, villages, and along traffic routes.
