A1 doubled re-use of the plastic Set-Top boxes, remote controls and wires provided to VOKA customers. Company experts calculated that 30% of all equipment provided to customers in 2021 was a reuse.

In compliance with it’s eco policy A1 aims at minimization of environmental impact and creation of more and more opportunities for eco life style. Standard VOKA kit includes a plastic Set-Top box as well as wires, connectors, power cords and remote controls. Reuse of customer equipment facilitated reduction of plastic production for Set Top boxes and of carbon dioxide emissions during production process. All devices are tested, repaired, refurbished and only then delivered to new customers.

Since 2018 A1 offers to it’s customers another eco alternative to a plastic Set Top box and other customer equipment, i.e. an updated VOKA app. Today it can be used on any devices from mobile phones to Smart-TV, Android-TV or Apple-TV after a free download from AppStore or PlayMarket. More and more customers select the app instead of special equipment and thus preserve natural resources.

A number of ‘green’ initiatives is realized by A1 based on it’s eco policy for 2021-2025. Thus, apart from waste segregation and recycling of standard daily wastes like glass, paper and various types of plastic A1 collects used electronic and electric devices for further effective utilization. Used gadgets can be dropped into special containers installed in 58 A1 stores across the country or handed over to any A1 representative.
