A1 Garden is a new educational platform for children
A1 Garden that appeared last year on the rooftop of A1 headquarters is open again. A new season of the project started with a class on plant cultivation for children of A1 employees and partners of the company considering education will be one of the key focus areas of A1 ecologic development platform.
Even at the design phase A1 Garden was envisioned not only as an additional area in A1 ‘green’ office but also as a space for hosting numerous events dedicated to development of ecological literacy. That is why nowadays A1 in compliance with it’s ecological, social and corporate governance (ESG) strategy is planning to use this platform for children’s educational purposes with a focus on environmental protection topic.
The first class under the framework of A1 Garden project was dedicated to plant cultivation and was organized for A1 employees’ children studying at digital technologies school A1 Rozumer as well as for SOS Children Village at Borovlyani, football club A1 Junior and Family inclusive theatre ‘i’.
During the session Andrei Ptashnik, expert in the area of urban cultivation culture and founder of Urban Garden, explained what for we need urban gardens and how to plant veggies, berries and greenery at home. Children were immediately offered to practice gained knowledge and planted strawberries into special pots that they took home together with flower planting sets.
