Unlim data access from A1 helps Grodno healthcare experts in situations of urgency

A1 continues to support social project Heart Team and has provided 35 simcards with unlim data access to Grodno healthcare experts. Owing to this initiative 32 medical teams of Grodno Oblast Intensive Care department are able to input data related to patients suffering from cardio –vascular diseases and to exchange it with hospitals.

Last year Grodno Oblast Clinical Cardio Centre came forward with the initiative Heart Team together with directorate general of Grodno oblast municipality. As a first step A1 has equipped 17 medical teams with tablets, special apps and simcards. This year already 32 teams operate under support of A1.

Heart Team tablets use Salutis software solution with activated package of 3G unlim from A1. 24/7 unlim data access makes it possible for the medical teams to exchange any volume of data.

“Implementation of state- of- the- art technologies in the area of healthcare is an important and natural step in development of this area. We are happy to move forward in this direction together with Grodno Oblast Clinical Cardio Centre, maintaining and extending innovative initiative in this field. Positive reaction of the medical experts does prove how essential online communications are”, - noted Nikolai Bredelev, head of A1 PR.

This novelty enabled a hot link to cardio centre where majority of patients who require emergency hospitalization are delivered to. The hospital has three tablets: one for a cardiologist on duty in inpatient admission, one for an emergency physician and one for a surgeon. During medical examination at home ambulance crew fills in a special form in the app and the data is immediately uploaded to the hospital. Gender, age, status and severity level, ECG tracing parameters – this is information that helps to prepare inpatient admission and operating room for a concrete patient while he / she is on the way and thus to provide necessary aid as soon as possible.

“Our center uses this software since 2019 and we feel significant changes in our work. For the patients that arrive here one of the critical factors is period of time they are facing a critical condition. And owing to the project Heart Team we manage to reduce it and regain normal heart performance. Almost all ambulance crews are equipped with tablets already serving Grodno and Grodno rayon, and now it is especially important since during pandemic times timely information may not only help patients but also protect doctors”, - said Alexander Chernyak, x-ray endovascular surgeon of Grodno Oblast Cardio Centre.

Owners of Heart Team project hope to speed up delivery of medical aid to patients across entire Grodno oblast and to formulate general plan of action for complicated and urgent situations that will help doctors achieve higher effeciency in treatments of cardio-vascular diseases.
