Theatre Day on VOKA: Belarusian show Married to the Wind will be showed all over the world

On 27 March on the World Theatre Day VOKA will broadcast the show Married to the Wind, one of the biggest latest premieres. Anyone anywhere in the world will be able to join the broadcasting taking place at the National Belarusian Drama Theater. Online show will start at 7pm Minsk time.

Married to the Wind is a theatrical wedding where no one says a word but everyone sings. And every song becomes a story of someone’s life or death, love, pain or grief that is sympathetic to anyone. Through the beauty and wisdom of the Belarusian folklore, the authors of the show Ekaterina Averkova and Evgeny Kornyag together with the cast create an opportunity for the audience to hear the voices of their ancestors and feel the bond with own roots.

The first night show was staged in December 2019. In 2020 Married to the Wind was prized by Theatrical Belarus as the best performance in the country and remains one of the most popular show by the National Drama Theatre.

Multicamera creative filming in high definition will enable every viewer to watch everything what is happening on the stage from various angles. Broadcasting is available from any device in any operator’s network upon authorization in VOKA app or on voka.tv via a mobile number.

Broadcasting of the Married to the Wind is a continuation of a series of broadcastings at the National Drama Theatre that VOKA VOD started in 2020. As a result, the audience could already watch online premiere of the tragic comedy Profit, Career of Doctor House and Sirozha as well as a festive dinner Our Karatkevich dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Vladimir Korotkevich.
