On September 10, Vierchni Horad in Minsk turned into a vibrant corner of Mexico thanks to the Mexican Culture Festival. Throughout the evening, over 3,000 guests enjoyed the unique atmosphere of the festival, immersing themselves in the world of Mexican traditions, music and cuisine.

The festival opened up with lively mariachi performances, interactive zones, a food court and photo zones, creating an unforgettable atmosphere of a Mexican holiday. A giant 30-meter burrito was made before the guests' eyes. The festive mood was kept alive by the sounds of marimba and maracas, which added color to the musical program.

"The Mexican Culture Festival is not just a celebration, but an opportunity to feel the pulse of our country and discover its soul. I was pleasantly surprised by how many people came to the event and how genuinely they wanted to learn more about Mexico. We are happy to share our traditions, music and cuisine, as it helps us understand each other better and strengthen the friendship between our nations. Minsk has got a little closer to Mexico today, and this is priceless," said Eduardo Villegas Mejias, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to the Republic of Belarus, at the formal opening of the festival.

The highlight of the evening was the performance of the Godoy Brothers Marimba Orchestra, which captivated the audience with its tunes. The audience appreciated the live sound and the genuine passion of the performers, which complemented the unique nature of Mexican culture.

The Mexican Culture Festival was hosted by the Minsk City Executive Committee with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of Mexico. The event was backed by A1, which is part of the international A1 Group, which has been the European division of the transnational América Móvil holding, one of the world's largest telecommunications service providers with headquarters in Mexico, since 2014.

"It is important for us to support projects that develop cultural ties and inspire mutual understanding. The Mexican Culture Festival is an example of how we can share the heritage and values of our countries. As part of the Mexican América Móvil holding, A1 proudly supports initiatives that promote cultural dialogue between Belarus and Mexico," said Alejandro Plater, A1 Group CEO who arrived in Minsk on account of the event.

The Mexican Culture Festival in Minsk became a fully-fledged holiday, bringing people of different generations and cultures together. Pulsating rhythms, unique gastronomic experiences and authentic performances created an environment where everyone felt like part of a great Mexican celebration. This festival proved that culture is a bridge that connects people despite distances and differences, and reminds us of the importance of mutual respect and the joy of communication.
