Inclusive Barista at A1 expands it’s business: another coffee shop opens in Minsk

Coffee shop chain Inclusive Barista continues to grow. Under support of A1 there appears the second coffee shop in Minsk at A1 store at Kuibisheva 69 and it will operate from 9am to 9 pm.

According to the concept of the coffee shop chain Inclusive Barista the interior and all facilities of the new Minsk coffee shop were specifically designed to create inclusive working environment for the personnel and comfortable conditions for customer service. The menu offers various coffee drinks inclusive baristas serve. Besides coffee, visitors can order desserts too. In order to emphasize a special character of the place, the drinks are served in branded coffee cups illustrating styled portraits and personal stories of the team members. The guests will be welcome by a life-size figure of the director of Inclusive Barista Vasya Pavlikov, the first in Belarus director with down syndrome.

The idea of the project Inclusive Barista developed and realized by a wheel-chaired activist Alexander Avdevich is to offer employment to people with disabilities and open new ways of self-realization for them. A few team members were trained at the Inclusive Barista Academy, special courses organized by the project owner Alexander Avdevich under support of A1. The first graduates of the Academy have already moved to Brest for work at Inclusive Barista that opened on 23 July.

Opening of the second in Minsk and the third in Belarus coffee shop Inclusive Barista at A1 is a new step of A1 in enabling equal opportunities for people irrespective of their physical capabilities. Barrier free environment is created in many of A1 shops including A1 flagship in Minsk. Besides, the company arranged opportunities for it’s employees to work remotely. It makes it possible to consider candidates for employment at A1 including those with physical disabilities. Today such vacancies include call centre agent of the remote customer care group, engineer of the technical support, distant sales agent.
