Inclusion, music, cinema: A1 will open three venues at the Vulitsa Ezha festival

On the weekend of June 5/6, the big city picnic Vulitsa Ezha opens the new season. This year the festival will be held with the support of A1, which is equipping three new venues in the Botanical Garden.

Thanks to such a collaboration, A1 which has been working with the inclusion and equal opportunity society themes for many years will equip a special barrier-free venue for the festival and invite famous Belarusians to perform there. On each of the festival weekends – June 5/6, July 10/11, August 21/22 – different speakers will share their stories about how inclusion has become a part of their lives and conduct creative workshops – the schedule for these workshops will be provided a little later.

"Adhering to the international ESG principles in environmental, social and corporate governance, A1 implements inclusive projects that are inspired by the idea of creating an equal opportunity society. It is important for us to say that inclusion is not only the creation of a barrier-free environment, but also a global approach that brings people together. And the big city picnic Vulitsa Ezha is an ideal venue to remind of this and offer different formats of recreation for everyone, without exception. We want the festival guests to enjoy high-quality music and cinema on an equal footing, so we will also supplement the festival programme with events supported by A1, namely: Xplore Music by Deezer and VOKA video service", said Nikolay Bredelev, Head of A1 Corporate Communications.

The guests of the new festival venue will be able to taste branded drinks from the country's most famous barrier-free coffee shop Inclusive Barista. To make all visitors comfortable, the bar itself will be lowered and the paths to it will be covered with a special removable flooring. In addition, professional tutors and psychologists who will be able to provide the necessary support or resolve a non-standard situation will work at the A1's inclusive venue.

The musical part of the big city picnic will include an A1's programme Xplore Music by Deezer and premium acoustics brand Bang&Olufsen: master classes by choreographers from the Etazh Larry school and DJ sets by Gleb Gurami. The VOKA video service will arrange an open-air cinema for festival guests, where films will be shown for different audiences all weekend from 01:00 PM to 08:00 PM, as well as thematic quizzes and drawn games.

As in other Vulitsa Ezha locations, A1 will provide social distancing measures and additionally equip areas with antiseptic and all staff will be provided with medical masks and gloves to ensure the comfort and safety of guests at each of the three new venues.
