A well-known Estonian wind orchestra will play film and theatre music by Minsk Cityhall

Classic Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1 continues on 10 August with a show from Estonian wind orchestra Saxon under the baton of it's conductor Kaido Kivi. Musicians coming from Pärnu will perform music from famous soviet films and theatric productions by Cityhall.

On the occasion of the fifth anniversary Classiс Music at Cityhall Together with velcom | A1 sounds in five cities across Belarus. Concerts in Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno and Brest have been already held. A series of musical nights in Minsk started on 20 July and will run till 31 August. On the coming Saturday 10 August the fourth out of six planned concerts will be performed by overseas guests – a wind orchestra Saxon from Estonian Pärnu.

This is a band with over 50 years of history. It consists of 35 musicians between 13 and 78 years old engaged in various occupations and professions united by a sincere keenness on music and performing talent. Here in Minsk the musicians will perform Belarusian Krizhachok, songs by Estonian composers and well-known soundtracks from soviet films (Funny Lads, The Long Road Through The Dunes, Captain Grant’s Children, Gadfly) and theatric productions based on famous literary works (The Twelve Chairs, My Fair Lady, Les Miserables).

The concert consists of two parts. During the break the dwellers and guests of the capital will enjoy performance of a popular Estonian singer and actor of Talinn City Theatre Marko Matvere with pianoforte accompaniment by Tarmo Eespere.

Musical nights by Cityhall are traditionally organized by velcom | A1 and Minsk City Administration. The next concerts will take place on 17 and 31 August. State Chamber Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus and international concert soloist, professor of the High school of Arts piano player Timur Sergeyenya (Belgium - Belarus) will play on 17 August and Presidential Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus will perform on 31 August.

The section VOKA Live in VOKA VOD contains concerts in Vitebsk, Gomel, Grodno and Brest as well as Minsk concerts on 20 July (State Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Republic of Belarus) and on 27 July (The Three Tenors accompanied by National Academic Folk Orchestra of Belarus named after Josef Zhinovich) and on 3 August Musical Capella Sonorus.
