Technologies and Ecology: SPRAVA art festival coordinator and founder of IT company Feeling Digital will run a free masterclass for high schoolers
Educational program of the project The First for Belarusian high schoolers will start on 20 February. 9-, 10- and 11- graders from all over the country will be able to attend a masterclass from a founder of IT company Feeling Digital and coordinator of the popular art festival SPRAVA.
The first online meetup will be about creation of future technologies and how to follow the trends with care of nature. The first masterclass Technologies. Ecology will take place on Saturday 20 February at 11am. It will open with the topic of VR and AR technologies changing our tomorrow presented by Mitry Sorkin, a cofounder and creative producer of IT company Feeling Digital. The winner of the previous season of The First Samuel Aleksin who came up with the initiative about robotics as a part of the school curriculum is invited as a special guest.
The second part will be dedicated to Trendy festival movement in harmony with the nature – combine it and get profit presented by Anna Aleksandrenkova, coordinator of SPRAVA, international festival for interaction with historic and natural landscapes in Belarus that is organized in Belaya Tserkov village of Vitebsk oblast. Ekaterina Yangol, the winner of the previous contest The First who proposed to furnish a river bank in her native town Krevo and equip it with a dancing platform in order to tidy up the Baltic Sea from garbage.
The broadcasting will be organized on the official page of The First www.generation.A1.by. After presentations, all participants of the masterclass will be able to raise their questions to the speakers in the chat. The authors of the most complicated and interesting questions registered on the page of the project will get valuable gifts.
The purpose of the educational program is to demonstrate to the schoolers what projects are realized in Belarus in the area of culture, inclusivity, urban planning, ecology and technology. And also to show how a single idea can change the life of many people for the better. Besides, it will make it possible for the schoolers to share their opinions in every topic and invent an own project and apply for the contest of ideas The First, present it at the international youth conference TEDxYouth@Minsk and get iPhone 12.
Educational program of the project The First will continue in March. Applications from the high schoolers for participation in the contest of ideas in any of 5 areas like Technology, Culture, Inclusivity, Ecology and Urban Planning can be submitted till 30 April. Application requires a short video (up to 3 minutes) presenting the idea posted in any social network (TikTok, Instagram, VK, YouTube, FB, OK, Twitter) with the hashtag of the contest #generationA1 and the link sent to generationA1.2021@gmail.com.
Social and educational project The First is realized by A1 under support of TEDxMinsk conference organizers. All events are organized in Belarusian including masterclasses and public presentations of the finalists since one of the goals of the contest is promotion of the Belarusian language and increase of it's popularity via TED global community.
