On September 10, residents of Minsk and guests of the capital will be able to attend a unique Festival of Mexican Culture to be held in Vierchni Horad. Everyone will be able to get to know the country of vivid colors, lively music and unique traditions, as well as try traditional food and drinks, and even witness the making of a giant burrito. The festival will have no entry fees.

For one day, the downtown of Minsk will turn into a real Mexican street, decorated with traditional garlands, brightly colored ribbons and live photo zones. Visitors at Plošča Svabody will be greeted by mariachis, musicians wearing traditional costumes and sombreros. Festival guests can expect a rich event program, an introduction into the country's culture and music, an animated photo zone in a traditional style, as well as the opportunity to take part in an interactive quiz about Mexican culture and history. During the day, Vierchni Horad will also host a stylized food court serving traditional Mexican cuisine.

The main event of the Mexican Culture Festival in Minsk is the concert performed by the iconic Mexican marimba orchestra of the Godoy brothers, which arrived to our city on special invitation. Entry to the festival is free, the celebrations will go on from 06:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m., and the concert itself will begin at 08:00 p.m.

The Festival was announced during the visit of Eduardo Villegas Mejias, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Mexico to the Republic of Belarus with residence in Moscow, to the capital back in June 2024.

The Mexican Culture Festival is hosted by the Minsk City Executive Committee with the assistance of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Belarus and the Embassy of Mexico. The event is backed by A1, which is part of the international A1 Group, which has been the European division of the transnational América Móvil holding, one of the world's largest telecommunications service providers with headquarters in Mexico, since 2014.
