Online premiere on VOKA: new performance of the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama will be broadcasted live
On 16 December VOKA will broadcast live premiere performance of the Republican Theatre of Belarusian Drama Zabalozce. It starts at 7:00pm Minsk time and will be available for free to any viewer around the globe.
Zabalozce is the final part of the theatrical trilogy created on the basis of Belarusian folk songs by director Evgeny Kornyag, composer Katya Averkova and artist Tatiana Nersisyan. The first two performances Marriage with the Wind (2019) and Pachupki (2022) are dedicated to marriage and birth while the final part of the trilogy gives space for viewers to reflect on the final stage of human life.
Zabalozce is based on the real story of eight brothers who did not return from the front during the Great Patriotic War. This is authors’ personal rethinking of the losses, pain and fears of their ancestors with the help of Belarusian folklore, their desire to better understand the history of their family.
High quality multi-camera shooting will allow each viewer to immerse into the atmosphere of the theater hall and see everything that happens on the stage from different angles.
You can join the viewing on 16 December at 7:00pm from any device in VOKA app or on voka.tv free without authorization.
Screening of Zabalozce continues a series of live broadcasts from the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama that VOKA started in 2020.
