Online premiere with VOKA: the latest performance by the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama will be televised live
On April 6, VOKA video service will broadcast the latest performance by the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama and the Center for Belarusian Drama: a play titled "Vechar". The live broadcast will be available free of charge to viewers from around the world and will begin at 07:00 p.m. (Minsk time).
The play titled "Vechar" was adapted from one of the most famous works of Aleksey Dudarev, a Belarusian playwright, in January of this year. The viewers will learn the story of three elderly protagonists, the recognizable characters of Vasil, Hanna and Mikita (nicknamed Gastritis), living in the same village and spending their golden years together: their children moved out a while ago, and there is no one around except for the Sun, the Sky, the vast landscape and an old radio. The funny and lyrical story of lonely old people, their love, friendship and fatherhood is still relevant in this day and age.
The roles are performed by: Tatyana Markhel, People's Artist of Belarus; Anna Anisenko; Valentin Solovyov, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus; Igor Sidorchik; Nadezhda Tsvetkova; Anna Lebedeva; Stepan Kravchuk.
The performance features folk songs and lullabies collected by Vera Kirillovna Markhel from the village of Shpakovshchina.
Multi-camera artistic filming in high definition will allow each viewer to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of a theater hall, watching everything that happens on stage from different angles.
You can watch the premiere on April 6 at 07:00 p.m. from any device via the VOKA app or on the voka.tv website free of charge by signing in from anywhere in the world.
The broadcast of "Vechar" continues a series of live broadcasts from the Republican Theater of Belarusian Drama, launched by the VOKA video service back in 2020.
