The First in Belarus: A1 created a new sports brand in partnership with football club Junior
A1 has teamed up with football club Junior and created a joint sports brand A1 Junior. This is the first showcase of a large-scale partnership between the business and junior teams.
The said program starts in September and will feature a few directions for development of junior sports. New outfit for team members has been purchased for 2019/2020 season within the framework of the collaboration with A1 Junior.
“A1 has been always supporting mass sports being a name sponsor of the most well-known local clubs. However, never before in the history of children football in Belarus has any sports club had a general sponsor offering a permanent support and our partnership with Junior will be the first case in this aspect. This is one of the best football schools for children in our country. Aid to children is one of the key focuses of corporate social responsibility for A1. Together we can do way more so that any child could do favorite sports and therefore we have combined our names under a common brand A1 Junior”, - commented Nikolai Bredelev, head of A1 PR.
Junior was established in Minsk 8 years ago. Today there are 300 children between 5 and 16 years attending the school. The teams regularly participate in international and national tournaments. Depending from the willingness and fitness level children can do either professional or amateur sports. Since 2018 Junior teaches women football managed by Ekaterina Avhimovich, Belarus and Russian Champion, best Belarusian football player 2013.
Throughout the last season (2018/2019) Junior became one of nine participants of UEFA development program in Belarus within the framework of which all coaches have been trained in compliance with European standards and have been granted licenses of categories D and С entitling to teach children and junior teams. A few coaches of the club have licenses of category B enabling them to work with adult professionals.
A1 support and its active participation in the club’s life will extend the opportunities of Junior teams and will facilitate upgrade to a new quality level. A1 Junior partnership is realized with support of Belarusian Football Federation.
