VOKA will host an online premiere of the first virtual reality performance in Belarus

On April 2, on the World Autism Awareness Day, the VOKA video service will host the world online premiere of the "Fire and Ice" performance. To celebrate its fifth anniversary, the "i" Family Inclusive Theater is presenting the first performance in Belarus, staged using virtual production technology.

"Fire and Ice" is a plastic parable-performance by Irina Pushkareva, the theater manager, and Gennady Fomin, the theater director, that tells a story about the creative element of humanity, generations replacing one another and love that illuminates the world around us. The plot tells a story of the Master, who makes each of his works similar to his Muse, but the best ones of all are their children and disciples, who will then become Masters themselves. The performance is based on improvisation, which is not typical for ballet, as it combines the dramatic art and live music.

The virtual production technology used in the performance allows to incorporate virtual reality with real people and objects. For this, an LED screen will be installed on the stage, on which digital effects and 3D decorations created by the BY Movie Production company are displayed. That way, even though all the locations are fictional, they appear realistic enough to make the viewers think they are moving in space with the actors and musicians.

On April 2, at 19.00, the performance will become available to everyone free of charge, anywhere in the world on the voka.tv website or in the VOKA mobile application. You just need to sign in using your phone number.

"Fire and Ice" is a performance dedicated to Irina Savelyeva, an outstanding ballerina and People's Artist of Belarus. The lead role in the stage production is played by her disciple, Marina Vezhnovets, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus, who is performing alongside her husband, Yuri Kovalev, Honored Artist of the Republic of Belarus.

During the performance, the viewers will also get to see Ekaterina Zinovieva-Provalinskaya, a ballet dancer, and actor Mikhail Samusenko, as well as directors, teachers, actors of the "i" Family Inclusive Theater and a quintet of musicians: Alexandra Sandler (piano), Karen Karapetyan (violin), Anton Mashkalo (flute), Bogdan Dovgyalo (cello), Daniil Zalessky (drums, percussion).

Following the online premiere, on April 24, an offline presentation of the "Fire and Ice" performance will take place on the stage of the Hall of Culture of the Minsk Automobile Plant. Tickets can be purchased on the operator's website: kvitki.by. For enquiries, call: +37529 622-20-90.

The "i" Family Inclusive Theater was created in 2016 on the basis of the Creative Studio of Irina Pushkareva with the general support of A1. In five years, the theater produced eight performances that helped children with autism realize their creative potential.
