velcom is the only mobile operator which became the winner of the contest “The Best Entrepreneur of Minsk in 2009” in the sphere of services. The 10th grand ceremony of awarding the winners and laureates of the contest “The Best Entrepreneur of Minsk in 2009” on the results of the activity of legal entities and individual entrepreneurs for the period  January – December  2009 was held on March 26, 2010 in the congress-hall of the Business-center “Victoria”.  The organizers of the annual contest are Minsk State Executive Committee, Minsk City Council of Deputies, Committee of Economy of the City of Minsk and Minsk City Council for Enterprise Development.

This year the winners were determined in 16 nominations. The highest awards were given to the companies and individual entrepreneurs that achieved the most significant results in the sphere of production of consumer goods, food, manufactured goods, construction and medical goods, wholesale and retail goods, in the sphere of services and tourism. The best organizations with foreign investments, farms, infrastructures supporting and developing entrepreneurship, entrepreneurs-exporters, entrepreneurs-providers of new working places and the best banks on rendering services for entrepreneurs were announced.

The awards and memorable diplomas to the winners and laureates of the contest were presented by the Deputy Chairman of Minsk City Executive Committee Nikolay Ladutko and the Chairman of Minsk City Council of Deputies Mikhail Matusevich.
