velcom carries out the trial activation of the 3G network in Mogilev!

Today, on April 20, velcom carries out the trial activation of UMTS network in Mogilev. According to velcom technical experts, installation and adjustment of the equipment are finished, and it is necessary to check the network operation in a real loading mode for its commercial launch.

The coverage of Mogilev is provided with 50 base stations in UMTS standard, thus all of them work with support of HSPA+.

Thus, velcom continues to actively develop the third generation network according to the plans announced on March 17, 2010 at the press conference on the 3G launch.
