velcom celebrates its 11th birthday!
On April 16 velcom celebrates its 11th birthday. The company has given pleasure of communication and helps to remain on-line with relatives, close people, friends and colleagues for more than 11 years already.
Nowadays velcom unites more than 4 million subscribers, who appreciate innovations, timeliness and the quality of the services rendered, as well as relevance and variety of the mobile operator’s offers. According to a heart-warming tradition set in the last anniversary year, 11 trees were planted in the city centre, in Pushkin Park, on this significant for the company day. That symbolizes 11 years of successful work in the Belarusian telecommunication market. Moreover, a memorable stone with the inscription "velcom lane" was founded on the place of planting of trees. Representatives of all departments of the company have taken part in the action: management, experts and the heads of departments.

On the route of 4 Pobeditelei Ave. (the crossing of streets Melnikaite and Pobeditelei Ave.) – the Minsk Ring Motorway – 4 Pobeditelei Ave. a solemn bicycle race of velcom employees with the length of 15 km took place. Helmut Duhs, CEO of SB Telecom Ltd. in charge of FE "VELCOM" and Mikhail Batranets, Director General of FE "VELCOM", officially started the sports event.
