velcom is the general partner of the 16th bowling tournament Fireball among Mass-Media

velcom became the general partner of the 16th tournament in bowling among Mass-Media Fireball, which was held from May 11 till May 13 in the fashionable bowling club Madison. Traditionally the organizers of the tournament are BelKP-Press Closed Joint-Stock Company, Alpha Radio and the bowling centre Madison.

Within three days teams consisting of representatives of 34 leading Belarusian mass-media showed their skills in throwing of balls on bowling lanes. The tournament traditionally consisted of two play-offs according to the results of which 10 teams scored the greatest quantity of points, battled in the final game for the main prize – Crystal Skittle.

According to the results of the event the palm was won by the team of the newspaper Magazin Krossvordov. The second place was taken by a small margin by the team of ONT TV-channel, and Realt.by Internet portal won the third honourable place. Natalia Filippovich from Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi became the best player among women and Alexander Voyushin from Magazin Krossvordov became the best one among men. The journalistic brotherhood congratulated the champions of 2010 sincerely; each winner received a memorable gift from the organizers and velcom. The mobile operator also prepared a surprise for the participants of the tournament, having awarded players in special nominations:

  • Vitaly Dalidovich, newsparer Telenedeleya, for the most accurate strikes in the nomination "Keen eye"

  • Vladimir Shapovalov, Internet Portal REALT.BY, for the strongest strikes in the nomination "Terminator"
  • Natalia Filippovich, Komsomolskaya Pravda v Belarusi, for incredible team spirit and leader traits in the nomination "Company Soul"
  • Alisa Schegrikovich, magazine Promenade, for a bright and stylish game in the nomination "Miss Glamour"
  • Elena Chebonenko, newspaper Zheleznodorozhnik Belarusi, for invincible will for victory and non-standard strikes of a ball in the nomination "Tornado"
  • Vasily Sopelev, newspaper Respublika, for the most beautiful strikes among men in the nomination "Mr. Strike"
  • Inna Tarasun, magazine Otdel Kadrov, for the most beautiful strikes among women in the nomination "Miss Strike"
  • Participants of the ONT team received a special prize from velcom in the nomination "Most Mobile Team" for harmonious team game.
