#ionline-training: A1 and UNFPA launched educational program in digital literacy across all Belarusian regions
The first classes in digital literacy organized by A1 and UN Fund in Population Activities in Belarus took place in Minsk and Vitebsk in support of voluntary movement #ionline. In the next few months volunteers and social workers from various regions of the country who are going to familiarize elderly people with mobile technologies will take #ionline-training.
The educational program is designed in addition to #ionline guide for internet beginners released in June and is available under the link. All classes are organized in a hybrid mode: majority of participants join the training via a live broadcasting or recorded. Further on there will be classes organized in Mogilev, Brest, Gomel and Grodno.
#ionline training is held by A1 volunteers together with experts in social communications for 60+ adults who do not only get practical tips but also familiarize with ethic norms and special aspects in interaction with elderly people.
The educational program is developed within the framework of Partnership Agreement concluded between A1 and UN Fund for Population Activities UNFPA in Belarus for development of digital literacy among elderly people. It’s realization started in June with the release of #ionline guide in mobile technologies that can be downloaded from ionline.a1.by or obtained at any A1 store across Belarus by elderly persons requesting a consultation or upon purchase of Lenovo Tab M10.
