The change of dialing rules of telephone numbers for subscribers of FE "VELCOM"

As of March 9, 2010 additional possibilities of telephone numbers dialing are introduced to subscribers of FE "VELCOM" (velcom and PRIVET trade marks): now prefix 0 can be used for domestic long distance dialing as well, and for the international one – prefix 00.

These formats are applicable for dialing of subscriber numbers of any telecommunication networks.

Moreover, the format with the use of the symbol "#" is cancelled for calls to numbers of a fixed network for all subscribers, except for the citizens of Minsk and Minsk region.

Examples of dialing of numbers of fixed and mobile networks of the Republic of Belarus:

• Formats of domestic long distance dialing:
  • 0 – city code / network code – telephone number of the subscriber
  • 8 0 – city code / network code – telephone number of the subscriber
  
  
• Formats of international dialing:
  • +375 – city code / network code – telephone number of the subscriber
  • 00 375 – city code / network code – telephone number of the subscriber
  • 8 10 375 – city code / network code – telephone number of the subscriber

Other current formats of telephone numbers dialing remain the same.
