News of development of the network in February

In February velcom installed the 600th telecommunication tower in the settlement of Grigorovichi of Lepel district of Vitebsk region.

The company continued the construction of GSM network, having installed new base stations in the capital (the area of Korzhenevsky and Prilukskaya Streets), Gomel (Sosnovaya St.), Bobruisk, Zhodino, in the settlement of Oktyabrsky, Gomel region, and Korelichi, Grodno region. New telecommunication towers were installed in the settlement of Novy Barsuk, Rechitsa district, and Zasintsy, Elsk district, Gomel region. New base stations were installed in the area of the settlement of Vishnevtsy, Dokshitsy district, Vitebsk region, and Remezy, Elsk district, Gomel region, to improve the radio coverage of P86 and P148 highways accordingly. Moreover, a new base station was also installed to maintain the coverage of an agricultural town near the settlement of Zasintsy, Elsk district, Gomel region.

According to the results of February, 2010 3,255 base stations and 28,300 transceivers in 1,346 settlements of the country are in operation in velcom network.
